I've been feeling inspired by the brilliant cloud formations over the past few days. So much so that I've been waking early enough to photograph them. This morning it meant getting up at 4:50 am!  The tide was in, which meant less options for landscapes on the closest beach, so I drove to Tapu Bay.

The last time I photographed this rock formation was with Meggie Bichard on her bike on top of the rock.

I knew when I arrived that the sunrise would be spectacular. Indeed it was. The clouds moved into the perfect position at just the right time...

I was also glad to be in the right position at the right time. Now it's time for a little nap. If only!
